Wedge of Havoc

We wanted to add some gigantic buildings to our game. They are the landmarks for travelers and entrances for players to fight bosses. They were built in a decade post the Stardust apocalypse that changed our world.

 

These buildings are called the Wedge of Havoc. They belong to Rosetta, a scientism tech giant whose ruthless experiments triggered the destruction of the old world. Some of Rosetta's top leaders tried to fully integrate the mortal world with the realm of the Great Ones. So, they built these giant Wedges to attract the attention of the Great Ones. These buildings are no doubt too huge to miss.

 

We designed the Wedges of Havoc as monuments built with matte black metal plates emphasizing Rosetta's absolute rationality, and we gave them a unique oblique shape, making each Wedge pointing towards the center area of the map. What are they guiding us to? There must be a connection between these Wedges and Stardust, implied by the purple light stream flickering on their surfaces.

 

Anomalous Node 

For those who love horror, behold, for we have brought more New Weird content to the game - Anomalous Node!

 

These are special locations where Anomaly is the host, serving only the bravest guests. A forest of stop signs but not trees, a space of heavy fog that blocks your sight, a ghastly silhouette of monsters unknown, and more!

 

These Anomalous Nodes are hidden here and there in the wild. Each one of them defines a certain space operating with different rules that go against your common sense. Stepping into an Anomalous Node, there are no other choices for you besides to accept and follow the internal rules and survive.

 

Of course, there will always be a gain for the pain. It is time to let your imagination run wild, embrace the fear and excavate the hidden treasure. Let the anomalous treasure-hunting start!

 

 

Upgrade for Victor

Your faithful friend Victor is welcoming a major upgrade! We've tried to integrate him as a travel-size guide within the Cradle device, so players won't feel lonely when they are roaming in the wild. Your guide now calls itself Cradle Core, or C.C..

 

C.C. uses color to communicate with its master, you. When your Sanity falls below 20 or when you enter the Impasse, the glass container pod where C.C. dwells will turn red. When it detects collectible items nearby, it will turn blue. When you are in building mode or summoning the motorcycle, it will turn green. 

 

With C.C.  by your side, you don't have to return to your territory to complete tasks, and you can communicate, or even chit-chat with C.C. at any time.
