The co-dev test is in full swing, and we are absolutely thrilled by the abundance of valuable feedback we've received from all of you. To bring you an even more heart-pounding game experience, we will be conducting server maintenance from 2:00-4:00AM PST on December 22nd for bug fixes and game optimizations. Make sure you're prepared for the server downtime. We genuinely appreciate your patience and unwavering support!
Now time to take a glimpse of what's to come.
I. OPTIMIZATIONS
Graphics:
1. Enhanced lighting effects within the Monolith Ruin in the tutorial
2. Enhanced VFX for Spacetime
3. Enhanced lighting for several houses in Broken Delta and Chalk Peak
World Exploration:
1. Made loot crates more noticeable by adding VFX. Now it's easier for you to spot those goodies
2. Added tutorials for Rift Anchor and Rift Coordinates
3. Included more regional information on the map and enhanced map graphics to facilitate your exploration
4. Streamlined Daily Commissions with more specific names and clearer objectives
5. Enhanced VFX for Journey tasks. You can now quickly sort out complete tasks and claim rewards
6. Redesigned the layout of several NPC settlements including Meyer's Market, Greywater, Tall Grass, and Blackfell, making it easier to find and use Wish Machines
Settings:
1. Added an "Interaction Response" setting that allow you to adjust the response speed for smoother gameplay. The development team is actively working on optimizing game performance to minimize stuttering and FPS drops
2. Adjusted the default setting for motion blur to low and decoupled it from graphic quality settings
Combat:
1. We adjusted the stats for subduing effects to make it clearer and more balanced:
① Lowered the damage coefficients to shields (±50% -> ±25%) with or without subduing effects; and removed shields from some Rosetta units
② Added Battlefield Mutation in hard-mode Securement Silo, with enhanced stats for subduing effects against enemies within that silo
③ Added Battlefield Mutation in hard-mode, with enhanced stats (weekly rotation)
2. Lowered the frequency of charging or flanking by Rosetta and Vulture
3. Added a new feature that enable you to climb or use a ladder when gliding with the help of Wing Elixir. You can always disable the feature in Settings
4. Adjusted the priority between Telekinetic Hand and Enemy Drop pickup. Now loot first!
5. Changed the aiming method of Searchlights and Briefcases to a crosshair
6. Shortened the melee attack backswing
7. Added random Mod slots for Crossbows and Heavy Weapons
Networking:
1. Introduced a new Friends cross-server feature, enabling you to search for, add friends, and chat with players from different servers.
Vehicles:
1. Improved the camera performance during motorcycle rides
2. Increased the windscreen transparency for several vehicles
3. Vehicles can now enter and exit PvP areas without being salvaged
4. Improved the display of tire conditions
Other:
1. Lowered the initial power requirement for securing Electric Eel
2. Optimized the item storage flow for furniture cabinets, water purifiers, and other facilities after relocation, ensuring items remain correctly stored in the facilities
3. Fine tuned the player-character's voices and acting
II. BUGFIXES
1. Fixed an issue where building Territory next to the Teleportation Towers was allowed. Any buildings that are still present around the teleportation tower will be automatically salvaged at a designated time
2. Fixed an issue with the Season Challenge "Unlocking Furniture Formulas" where certain furniture formulas were not being counted towards the completion of the challenge
3. Fixed an issue where extended viewing of Mods would result in getting stuck
4. Fixed an issue where the Quest "Hello Sheriff" could not be complete
5. Fixed an issue where seawater could not be collected at the beach
6. Fixed an issue with weapon crafting where crafting materials added would disappear
7. Fixed an issue with the Quest "In the Tall Grass" where the quest could not be continued after Klein's defeat
8. Fixed the issue with Whisper being floating
9. Fixed an issue where turrets would mistakenly attack and cause damage to buildings within one's own territory
10. Fixed an issue where repeatedly sending friend requests via Whisper posts would trigger incorrect popup texts.
11. Fixed an issue with the Quest "For Sarah" where the visual effects (VFX) for painting slogans were missing
12. Fixed an issue where the final strike of melee attacks would be incorrectly identified as a backstab
13. Fixed an issue of intense camera shaking during melee combat or gathering
14. Fixed an issue where VFX for Loot Crates in Settlements were not easily noticeable
15. Fixed an issue where incorrect VFX were displayed for Echo Stones in purifiers that had zero durability
16. issue where the Automatic Irrigation System could not function properly when filled with Pure Water
17. Fixed an issue with the DMG stats of Sentry Turrets. Higher-tier turrets can now deal more damage.
III. Adjustment for Custom Image Upload Feature in Frames
We have noticed that some photos being uploaded from the local photo library contain offensive or inappropriate content. Currently the dev team does not have enough staff to review every photo before it is displayed in the game. In order to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all players, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily disable uploading from the local photo library.
We understand that this feature holds a great deal of freedom and expression for all of you, which is why we want to assure you that we are actively working on a solution. We plan to reintroduce this feature in future updates once we have implemented proper measures to ensure the appropriateness of the photos.
