Fortify your home with ungraded building structures. As well as a background on Arachsiam, one of the most fascinating monsters in the game.
【Building System】
We are so glad to see that players built so many different home bases during our latest test. It is great that our building system has achieved to inspire you to be your creative selves!
And we are constantly adding more DIY options in our building system, just to further ignite your creativity. Most basic structures now can be built with a variety of materials. You may keep your wooden cabin to maintain a vacation flavor. Or you may upgrade your house to a stone mansion or even an aluminum safehouse.
Additionally, we have provided an upgraded version of windows, doors, and stairs to go with the basic structures. You can construct a house with a tiled roof with an aluminum-framed window, or any mix-match style as you wish. The upgraded building structures are not only more attractive, but also tougher against enemies.
We'll be adding more materials, structures as well as decorations to the building mode in the future, and if you have anything you'd like to see in your territory, please share them with us.
And we have successfully integrated the building system in Stronghold Conquest. Now, you can build a variety of defensive structures with no restrictions during your battle with other Beyonders! Defensive structures are very useful in combat. They can provide cover for your teammates, block enemy sight, and protect the HIVE beacon. If you add a turret to the building, it will be your enemy's worst nightmare.
【Monsters】
Players showed great interest in the background story and characteristics of our boss, so today we are going to talk about one of the most eye-catching monsters: Arachsiam.
Like all spiders, Arachsiam hides in humid and dark places, dwelling in the deeps of mountains and canyons. Researchers believe that it used to be a normal spider species, but the Stardust infection distorted its shape and habits, and bred it into a Great One.
Arachsiam's most distinguishing feature, aside from its unusual size, is the human skull on its front, a byproduct of its distorted growth. Mother Arachsiam would paralyze a prey and bring it to the end of its cavern for its baby to parasitize, and the baby will live in the host’s head, absorbing energy until it is big enough to hunt on its own. By then, the body of the prey is withered and fallen apart. Yet the skull of it remains to become a part of the young Arachsiam’s body. And, since humans are the most preferred prey for Arachsiams, most of these grotesque creatures have human skulls.
Arachsiam is also highly protective of its territory. It rarely leaves its habitat, spending most of its time knitting a giant web that may extend for miles and patiently waiting for its prey. When its body senses the tiniest vibrations on its web, it moves swiftly and silently through its territory to capture the unlucky creature. The venom stored in its abdomen contains neurotoxins that can instantly paralyze its prey.
